Madeleine Peyroux is beautiful…in body and soul, but especially in mind.
This song fully embodies how I feel, I get through things. No one likes a liar, so yes, things to get bad, and they hurt. The thing is, you don’t have to wallow in it. You can see the bad, and choose to see the lesser evil in the situation. and then smile :)
So here’s the lyrics to her song….it does go better when you listen to the audio clip though. I swear her voice sounds straight out of the 30s :D Loveee it.
SMILE- BY MADELEINE PEYROUX
Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though its breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you’ll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You’ll see the sun come shining through for you
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That’s the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what’s the use of crying
You’ll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That’s the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what’s the use of crying
You’ll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile
That’s the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying
Youll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile
:)
Life. As it should be done.
Listen without defending.
Love without depending.
and
Live without pretending.
That about sums it up.
Oh, and smile :)

No matter how much closure you’re granted over a situation…It’s perfectly normal to re-think over everything that happened. They’re memories, whether good or bad, and that’s how we heal…and realize the joy life still holds :)

This is the best thing I’ve seen in a while!!! Some enlightenment.. I constantly have to remind my self this…like daily haha
In 2006, actor Stephen Fry received a letter from a girl struggling with depression. This was his response.
Try to give someone a litttle piece of this insight…
Try to give yourself a little bit too :)
